Those of us who don’t have a particularly green thumb may find it difficult to give plants the TLC they deserve—even those that don’t need too much attention, like a Monstera plant. But if you’d rather steer clear of the real deal altogether, Twitter has a solution that brings in the greenery AND the wow factor without ever having to worry about watering or nurturing anything.

Earlier this month, Twitter user @atkelli_ took to the platform to share her gorgeous crocheted Monstera plant that’s just as good as the real thing.

“a crocheted monstera for monstera monday” the Tweet says, along with an image of the two-tone Monstera which has been lovingly “planted” in a white ceramic planter.

The crocheted plant quickly garnered a lot of attention on the platform, with the Tweet currently having over 488,000 likes and 52,200 retweets.

Unsurprisingly, many Twitter users went on to ask the OG poster for more details, and they revealed that the eye-catching craft was created with the help of a crochet pattern from Etsy seller PippaPatternsCo.

The pattern, which is a best-seller on the Etsy store, features easy to follow step-by-step instructions and a detailed photo guide with 100 + high resolution images that will explain each step on how to crochet and assemble every part of the leaf.

Keen crafters have been raving about the pattern, encouraging other plant parents-slash-crafty individuals to pick up the crochet pattern and give it a go. The crochet pattern has been marked as “intermediate-advance” level, so you may want to brush up on your crafting skills—just like Jennifer Garner has been doing—before you give it a go

“I ordered this pattern yesterday and can’t wait to make it for a friend’s birthday. It will be a challenge for me, but the pattern looks really good. Everything is explained in detail,” one person wrote.

“Very clear and understandable description! Leaves look like real ones! Real!” said another.

A third commented: “Beautiful item when made, good to follow pattern.”

Not a fan of Monstera plants? PippaPatternsCrochet also offers striking floral designs and holiday-themed patterns. Happy crafting!
