Top 5 Tips and Tricks to Clean Up Your Home

[ad_1]

This is the time to walk around your house, Take notes on your phone or on a piece of paper of which room needs the most attention, areas that are skipped in routine cleanings, and rooms that you’ve been putting off organizing. When you have it written down, then it will be easier for you to navigate which areas to prioritize. And if you have someone to help you then you can divide the areas/rooms per person.

3. Time to Deep Clean

Remove the extra stress from your life. Take the time to sift through extra clutter that’s around your house. Get rid of the stuff you don’t need. You can have a garage sale or donate your extra goods to a donation center. When I see extra clutter around my house I think of only one thing…EXTRA DUST. Once you remove clutter you will feel a sense of relief. It’s therapeutic to get rid of the junk that’s been sitting in the same spot for months (or years).

Now that you removed your clutter, it’s time to deep clean. Some of the essential spots in the house to clean are the inside of your microwave, behind your refrigerator (if you can move it), stovetop and range, oven, and vacuum underneath furniture. Once that is completed I move on to dusting light fixtures, moping the kitchen and bathroom floors, and pouring boiling water or white vinegar down the garbage disposal. Do the tasks that you keep putting off! Your house will thank you later! ?

3. Clean with Green Products!

I started to clean with eco-friendly cleaners. They’re less harmful and just as effective. I’m trying to decrease my exposure to harmful chemicals. The benefit of using green products is having a healthier home. Here are a few of my favorites that are non-toxic and biodegradable so it doesn’t negatively impact the environment.

Natural remedy: White distilled vinegar, baking soda, and water.

4. From the Windows to the Walls

This is your reminder to deep clean your windows and wall exteriors. Now is the time to bring out the power washer or hire your local window cleaner if you don’t want to do it yourself. The difference after cleaning your windows is worth it! So much more natural light will flood your home.

If you plan on cleaning your interior windows, make sure to put something down on your floors to protect them. Cleaning

5. Prioritize Clean Air

The last step is to clean out your air filters. There are months of buildup of dust that need to be removed before allergy season. I highly recommend getting an air purifier if anyone in your home suffers from allergies.

I hope you found this blog helpful and motivating. I know some of you might dread the idea of spring cleaning. It is essential to help kick off the new season.
