It has plenty of room for a five-pound chicken along with a pan of vegetables on another rack at the same time. It can even hold a 12-pound turkey. The XL stainless steel kitchen appliance has 10 cooking functions: air fry, air roast, whole roast, bake, dehydrate, broil, reheat, pizza, toast, and bagel. When cooking two foods at one time, my favorite feature is that the true surround convection means I don’t have to swap out the food. For example, when air frying chicken fingers and French fries, I place one on level 2 and the other on level 4, and I don’t need to stop halfway to transpose the rack positions, since the large capacity Ninja Foodi cooks evenly. This also means that I don’t have to flip food over at the halfway point. The Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven includes two sheet pans, two wire racks, an air fry basket, roast tray, and crumb tray.

De’Longhi Livenza 9-in-1 Digital Air Fry Convection Oven

Another excellent choice to replace your full-size oven is the De’Longhi Livenza 9-in-1 Digital Air Fry Convection Toaster Oven. In addition to having a convection fan, it can bake, toast, broil/grill, defrost, reheat, and keep food warm, and bake cookies and pizza. The oven has four oven positions, and includes a crumb tray, two wire racks, a bake pan, and a pizza pan. I love using the bake function for lasagna (store bought, because, again, I don’t cook). In addition, when making pizza, I can choose between fresh pizza and frozen pizza settings. That’s why this is definitely one of my picks for the best countertop convection ovens. It has a relatively compact size, with the total dimensions of the stainless-steel oven coming in at 19 x 17.5 x 12 inches. It also has an 0.8 cubic foot interior and weighs 24.94 pounds.

Calphalon Performance Air Fry Convection Oven

The Calphalon Performance Air Fry Convection Oven includes a whopping 11 cooking functions: broil, roast, air fry, bake, bagel, toast, pizza, reheat, keep warm, defrost, and dehydrate. The countertop oven’s interior is 12.5 x 13 x 4.47 inches, and total dimensions are 18.7 x 15.8 x 11.6 inches. It also weights 22.5 pounds. This kitchen appliance can hold a 12-inch pizza and also a whole chicken. The sleek dark stainless-steel metal is a nice change from the sea of homogenous countertop ovens on the market. Using quartz heat technology, the convection toaster oven is designed to deliver 40% more heat to cook faster (I can’t really say it’s always faster than using a regular oven, but I have no complaints). I’ve enjoyed air frying hamburgers and chicken wings in it, and found it very easy to clean. This model also includes a crumb tray, wire rack, nonstick baking pan, and air fry basket.

Gourmia MultiFunction Air Fryer Oven

The Gourmia Multifunction Air Fryer Oven is an economical option that uses Force Fry 360 technology to quickly and evenly cook food. I’ve used it to air fry sweet potatoes, elotes (Mexican corn on the cob with mayonnaise, chili powder and lime), and bar nuts (unsalted nuts with paprika, brown sugar, kosher salt and melted butter), and was pleased with the results. However, the Gourmia Multifunction Air Fryer Oven does more than just air fry. It has specific presets for wings, fries, roast, warm, reheat, proof, bake, pizza, cookies, toast, bagel, dehydrate, broil, and slow cook. The product dimensions are 15.75 x 15.14 x 13.38 inches and the oven includes a fry basket, oven rack, baking pan, and crumb tray.

Zojirushi Micom Toaster Oven

Zojirushi may be better known for its well-made and well-performing rice cookers, but the Zojirushi Micom Toaster Oven proves that the company also makes great countertop ovens. Don’t let the title fool you. Although it’s called a toaster oven, it has 12 cooking functions: bake, broil, roast, homemade, toast, timed toast, bagel, pizza, cookie, homemade rise, reheat, and keep warm. The space-saving kitchen appliance is sleek and modern and looks good on any countertop. It’s also smaller than many countertop ovens (0.65 cubic feet interior/12.7/8 inches wide; total dimensions are 16 x 15 ¼ x 11 5/8 inches) making it ideal if you don’t have a lot of countertop space (however, it is large enough to hold a 12-inch pizza). It has a simple dial control panel and LCD display panel. I used the cookie setting to make some oatmeal raisin cookies, and also roasted a rib eye steak, and was pleased with both. The countertop toaster oven has two rack positions, and includes a removable crumb tray, baking tray, and broil tray.

FOTILE ChefCubii 4-in-1 Steam Combi Oven

FOTILE makes cooktops, gas ranges, and ovens, so they know something about kitchen appliances. The FOTILE ChefCubii 4-in-1 Steam-Combi Oven can air fry, dehydrate, and convection bake. However, my favorite feature is the steam function, which provides steam on low, medium, and high settings (ranging from 86-230 degrees). There’s also a pretty good-sized removable water tank. The countertop oven has 40 presets for the various cooking modes, and I’ve used several when steaming food. For example, P05 is the preset to steam shrimp, P08 is the preset to steam rice, P13 is the steam corn preset, and there are also other presets for baking, air frying, dehydration, and using the combi steam and convection function. The steam function can also be used to help clean the countertop oven by filling the appliance with water and then putting the appliance in Steam Clean Mode. The FOTILE ChefCubii is a sleek white appliance with a black glass door that has a capacity of one cubic foot. The exterior dimensions are 17 13/16 x 18 7/8 x 14 inches. Accessories include a grill rack, bake tray, steam tray, and humidity-controlled chip (for dehydration).  

CRUXGG NEFI 6-Slice Digital Toaster Oven with Air Frying

The CRUXGG brand is a collaboration between Crux and Ghetto Gastro, a Bronx-based collaborative of chefs and food enthusiasts working to end food insecurity. One of the newest items in the collection is the CRUXGG NEFI 6-Slice Digital Toaster Oven with Air Fryer. This fun kitchen appliance has a retro vibe: the commercial grade stainless steel has a triple-coat black matte finish, and the text glows in red against the black digital display control panel. But this is more than just a good-looking toaster oven. It has 10 cook functions: toast (seven shade settings/holds six slices of toast), air fry, bagel, broil, bake, pizza, cookies, dehydrate, warm, and reheat. I’ve used it to broil steak and also to broil BBQ salmon (both were delicious). However, it’s large enough to also hold a 12 inch pizza, or 8 x 12 inch casserole. At 16.3 pounds, the countertop toaster oven is lightweight. The interior is 12 ½ x 9 ½ inches, and the overall dimensions are 17 ¾ x 14 ¾ x 11 ½ inches. It includes a removable crumb tray, wire grill, bake/broil pan, and air fryer/dehydrator basket.

Chefman XL Air Fryer Toaster Oven

The Chefman XL Air Fryer Toaster Oven is one of the most economically-priced options on the list. However, it is also one of the best values for people on a budget, and the large capacity makes it convenient for family meals. The stainless steel kitchen appliance’s dimensions are 16.6 x 15.8 x 14.1 inches and it weighs 15.20 pounds. The convection toaster oven actually has presets for nine cooking modes, including broil, bake, convection bake, air fry, toast, bagel, slow cook, warm, and dehydrate. I’ve used the broil function to make steak, and I’ve also baked pork chops, and was pleased with both. However, there’s also a dual cook mode for cooking two different foods at different temperatures at the same time. The countertop toaster oven includes a pullout crumb tray, air fry basket, broil/bake pan, flat wire rack, and two dehydrating racks.

Cosori VeSync Aeroblaze Grill

The Cosori VeSync Aeroblaze Grill (which looks like a cross between a pressure cooker and the Ninja Foodi Grill), has a recipe library like the De’Longhi grill. But while it may look like some of its competitors, the Cosori VeSync Indoor Grill has one feature that makes it stand out from the competitors: true smart control. Downloading the app not only leads to a library of recipes. After creating an account, I was able to adjust the time and temperature, and also select from over 100 pre-programmed recipes like Grilled Vanilla French Toast and Margarita Chicken Breast (the grill automatically sets the time and temperature for programmed food) via my smartphone and receive smartphone notifications to let me know the food’s doneness progress. There’s even an option to use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

The Cosori can reach temperatures of up to 510 degrees, and has eight cooking functions: air grill, roast, broil, crisp, bake, preheat, keep warm, and dehydrate. It also includes a smoke filter and splatter guard.
