Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved perfume. From the first bottle of Tommy Girl I pulled out of my Christmas stocking as a pre-teen to the splurge-worthy bottle of Anine Bing’s Pure Noir I spoiled myself with at the beginning of this year, fragrance has long been a love of mine. This is also true of home fragrances. To me, there’s nothing better than a home that smells good, so I work hard to keep my apartment clean and smelling fresh. Research has shown that there’s an intrinsic relationship between scent and emotion, so it’s not surprising to hear that a good-smelling home equals a happy home. But I don’t just do this for myself — I do it for my guests, too. When I have people over, I want them the enter a space that feels clean, warm, and inviting. My secret? P.F. Candle Co’s Amber & Moss Room & Linen Spray. And ever since I’ve been using it, my friends can’t stop asking me about it.

I first discovered this room spray while picking up some Christmas gifts at Urban Outfitters (there’s a great line of T-Shirts that celebrates and supports America’s National Parks there so I always pick up a couple for my dad.) While looking to fulfill the minimum shipping requirement, I browsed the home section for something small for myself. It was there that I came across a gorgeous line of room sprays packaged in eye-catching amber bottles. I took a look at the scent notes and saw that the Amber & Moss option featured a blend of moss, lavender, sage, lavandin, orange, amber, and musk — aka my dream notes. I crossed my fingers, added to cart, and hoped for the best.

Now I’ll be honest, when the package arrived I had forgotten that I bought the room spray. But as I unboxed it and spritzed that first spray, my eyes widened and I audibly said, “Oh. My. God. This is it.” Then and there I knew I had found my home scent. It quickly became my signature scent and began eliciting comments from friends and family the moment they stepped foot into my apartment. From the generic, “Ooh, what is that smell?” to the “Okay, what candle are you burning because I need it,” I was continually surprised at how much others liked this scent (so much so that I began gifting it!) What can I say, when it’s good, it’s good, folks.

P.F. Candle Co’s Amber & Moss Room & Linen Spray comes in at $18. While pricier than your average supermarket room spray, this bad boy is potent so a little goes a long way — it took me over a year to finish a bottle! Oh, and if you like things like candles, reed diffusers, and body washes more, you can pick those up in this scent, too. But if you’re a fragrance junkie like me, treat your home to its own “bottle of perfume” — you both deserve it.
