Moca Arquitetura pairs green and pink for office in Curitiba – Workplace | Design

The new workspace for product design agency Mad Creative in southern Brazil unites an explosion of colours and textures

For Mad Creative’s new 200 sq m office, a product design agency, Brazilian architecture practice Moca, led by partners Ana Sikorski and Katia Azevedo, infused colour into the workspace.

Set in downtown Curitiba, south of Brazil, the agency is responsible for the development of major brands nationwide and has enlisted Moca to create a vibrant new office space three times larger than the one previously occupied.

The project was motivated by the expansion of the team and, mainly, by the return to the traditional office routine. “They were in a smaller studio and called us to develop a space that would provide more life quality for employees and comfort for those who work there,” explains Sikorski.

The main goal of the project was to create an environment that would function as an extension of the home office, to facilitate the return and instigate the creativity and productivity of the employees. For this purpose, colour-divided areas were developed, with space for group activities, work dynamics, discussions, collective meals, and resting time.

The versatile and fluid design of the space helps fuel creativity. For instance, in the meeting room, a system of folding doors was developed to integrate the entire area. In front of the meeting room is also a grandstand that provides seating for big presentations and seminars, making the environment more inclusive and relaxed.

Meanwhile, the different colours, such as pink and green, played a fundamental role in the division of spaces and in the personality of each work environment. Furthermore, a rich material palette – coloured metallic structures, plywood and a blue carpet – add texture and create a contemporary finish.

More than a workplace, the space is a brand statement that inspires and welcomes its customers and employees.

The bold colour combinations make a design-led impression while still feeling timeless and modern. The result is a playful workspace that rejuvenates and inspires its workforce.
