The new Magnolia Network Original miniseries, chronicles four select properties across the Graduate Hotels collection, each based in a thriving University town and designed to showcase the spirit of each location. The first episode, which aired on Apr. 15, takes a look at Graduate Nashville and delves into the design process and inspiration behind the eclectic property, as well as a detailed look at the creation of the one-of-a-kind pieces that reside within the hotel. Think portraits of Dolly Parton and plenty of nods to Southern living.

Celebrating the spirit of Vanderbilt University’s collegiate traditions and the Nashville music scene, rooms and suites feature bright and bold patterns, luxe fabrics, and eye-catching finishes that tie everything together (guitar-shaped headboard, anyone?) Each room and common space in the hotel has been designed to tell a story and reflect the historic charm and cultural influence in Nashville.

“Partnering with our friends Chip and Joanna Gaines, the Magnolia Network and discovery+ to provide a new perspective on our unique approach to hospitality is an exciting moment for us,” said Ben Weprin, Graduate Hotels CEO and founder, in a press release announcing the new show. “‘Handcrafted Hotels’ will offer a completely new understanding of the design process behind each of our properties, as well as a strong appreciation for the incredible artists in our markets that give each destination a distinct personality and sense of place.”

Forthcoming “Handcrafted Hotels” episodes will stream weekly on discovery+ and include Knoxville, TN (streaming Apr. 22); Chapel Hill, NC (streaming Apr. 29); and New Haven, CT (streaming May 6). Each episode features exclusive interviews with Weprin as well as local artists and members of the in-house Graduate Hotels design team.
