If you’ve got a green thumb, why not consider planning your next trip around your plant babies? Boutique hotel Elwood Hotel & Suites, located in Lexington, Kentucky, is encouraging plant parents to bring along their greenery thanks to the world’s first plant-friendly hotel experiences, set to begin this spring.

The hotel will unveil a collection of specially-outfitted “plant-friendly” suites and a series of experiences specially curated for plant-loving guests. Those who book a stay in one of the gorgeous King Suites—complete with neutral decor and an abundance of natural light—will have the option to enjoy the exclusive Gardener’s Premiere Corner Room Package. The room will be decked out with plenty of lush plants from Lexington local Pemberton’s Greenhouses and a selection of locally-made botanical toiletries from Kentucky Soaps & Such. Guests can enjoy additional plant-centric perks such as a Garden Mojito cocktail special at the downstairs Fiddletree Kitchen & Bar, as well as a special nourishing “tea” for plants served in Elwood’s signature pink mugs. On departure, guests will also receive a complimentary potted succulent as a take-home gift.

The bright and airy hotel has received rave reviews, making it the perfect place to stay if you’re considering a trip to the mid-south.
