Californian office pod provider Denizen leverages advanced technology such as 3D printing, robotic fabrication and integrated connectivity to deliver a 100% recyclable pod that finds the right balance between office and remote work.
The brand’s archetype prefab office – robotically carved out of a sustainable cross laminated timber (CLT) slab – features 3m ceilings and immersive windows that flood the space with natural light. Inviting workers to take a break from technology, the pod’s thoughtful interiors, like its floor-to-ceiling windows, bring the outside world inside.
Furthermore, each Denizen pod, which arrives fully furnished, is equipped with a dimmable and colour-tuneable ring light; controllable privacy glass at the push of a button; a footrest and perfectly framed camera views at the desk and whiteboard, creating a quiet and professional workspace.
Desks and benches are crafted from solid wood, while climate and air filtration systems, as well as an integrated planter, keep the pod fresh and clean.
Every detail has been carefully thought through, from custom felt pillows to the maple plywood panels. Plus, at the end of a Denizen’s life, the company returns the pod to raw materials, which are then used for 3D printing new office pods.
Allowing workers to pop into the pod for calls, virtual meetings or solo productivity, Denizen’s considered use of technology integrations create a seamless user experience from the moment a worker steps inside this hi-tech, futuristic pod.
