Create Your Own Custom Candle with Scent Lab’s Virtual Workshops

Scent Lab, a woman-owned, New York City-based small business has been changing the way we shop for candles since it hit the homeware scene in 2021. The virtual candle bar allows you to shop completely customizable candles—from scents to vessels—so the possibilities are endless. Love a sweet scented candle? Go for a cocoa butter and creamy vanilla blend. Prefer a sharp, woodsy scent? Choose citrus & sage and mahogany wood.

In the virtual workshops, guests will get everything they need to create their very own custom candle. Once they’ve chosen their favorite scent notes and vessel, the candle making kit will be sent out ahead of the 60 minute workshop. The classes are led by Scent Lab’s fragrance experts who will guide guests through the candle making process, as well as offering top tips and tricks on how to get the best burn.

The brand prides itself in its thoughtful approach to sustainability thanks to its all-natural ingredients and repour and reuse program. All Scent Lab candles are made from 100% soy wax derived from a natural, sustainable resource, and the organic cotton wicks ensure an ultra-clean burn. Once your candle has burned out, Scent Lab will send out a returns label to send back the vessel, and you’ll receive 15% off a new custom blend to be repoured into your returned vessel. Or you can also repurpose your vessel as a makeup brush holder or a planter! Additionally, all of Scent Lab’s packaging is eco-friendly, with the brand opting for a chic satin bag instead of plastic packaging.

Scent Lab’s virtual candle making workshops run from Thurs. through Sun., priced at $60. Classes should be booked at least ten days in advance to ensure there’s enough time to send out custom candle making kits.
